Movie Monday Update Week of May 13th


Hello and Happy Monday TC readers! Couple of solid releases coming to the retail front, as well as an early chance to purchase a digital copy of Warm Bodies over at Amazon! Not a lot coming to theaters but there are a ton of great trailers to check out below! If you haven’t read my Community Review Advanced Introduction to Finality you can check that out here! The World's End Wide

A new trailer for the movie, The World’s End released on the web last week and you can check it out here! Five friends reunite after twenty years to complete a pub crawl challenge that they had previously failed many years ago. As the night goes on they soon realize that the challenge is a little bit harder than they remember! The World’s End stars, Nick Frost, Simon Pegg, and Martin Freeman. The movie is expected to hit theaters on August 23rd, 2013!

A new trailer for the movie Captain Phillips hit the web last week and you can check it out here. Based on a true story the film is a biopic about Captain Richard Phillips whose ship was taken hostage by pirates in 2009. Captain Phillips stars Catherine Keener, Max Martini and Tom Hanks. The film is expected to release on October 11, 2013!

Normally don’t post trailers for T.V. shows but willing to make an expection in this case. Check out the new promo for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. here! Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is an upcoming TV series that will be premiering on ABC. Staring Clark Gregg, the show will follow Phil Coulson as he assembles a small group of Agents from around the world. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is expected to air in September 2013 on ABC!

A new trailer for the movie Gravity hit the web last week and you can check it out here! A couple of Astronauts find themselves stranded in space after floating debris crashes into their space shuttle. Gravity stars, Basher Savage, George Clooney, and Sandra Bullock! Gravity is expected to hit theaters on October 4, 2013!

A new trailer for the movie Ender’s Game hit the web last week and you can check it out here! 70 years after a mass alien war the International Fleet prepares for the future by choosing the best and brightest group of young children to attend an advanced military school. Ender’s Game stars Abigail Breslin, Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, and Harrison Ford! Ender’s Game is expected to hit theaters on November 1st, 2013!

A trailer for the movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hit the web last week and you can check it out here! After the events of the previous movie Katniss has stirred a new feeling of hope within the districts.  Fearing a revolution President Snow begins to conspire again Katniss and the rest of the previous Hunger Games victors! The Hunger Games: Catching Fire stars Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, and Jennifer Lawrence. The movie is set to hit theaters on November 22nd, 2013!

A new trailer for the Man of Steel hit the web last week and you can check it out here! This third trailer reveals more footage and additional plot points. Man of Steel stars Amy Adams, Russel Crowe, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, and Henry Cavil. Man of Steel is expected to hit theaters on June 14th, 2013!

Movie Monday Update Week of March 11th


Hello and Happy Monday TC readers! Can you feel it? The summer blockbuster season is quickly approaching and with it comes exciting movie trailers! A ton of movies are set to release to retail this week with a rather lax release schedule at the theaters. The gang is back! A teaser trailer for The Hangover Part III hit the Internet last week with the trio back in action. The movie stars, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, and John Goodman and is set to release on May 24th, 2013!


A second official trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness hit the Internet last week that shows new footage as well as some additional plot details. Star Trek Into Darkness stars, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Chris Pine and is set to hit theaters on May 17, 2013!


A new trailer for DreamWorks’ The Croods hit the web last week with new footage and additional plot details. The Croods features the voice talents of, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, and Nicolas Cage and is set to hit theaters on March 22nd, 2013!


After Earth also received another exciting trailer with additional footage and more detailed plot points. After Earth stars, Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith and is set to hit theaters on June 7th, 2013!


Finally, Iron Man 3 released its second official trailer last week and it is action packed. Iron Man 3 stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsly, and Robert Downey Jr. and is set to hit theaters on May 3rd, 2013!

Movie Monday Update Week of December 17th


Hello and Happy Monday TC readers! We’re about a week away from Christmas and the movies just keep coming both in stores and at the theaters! We got some theater releases coming both Wednesday and Friday so be sure to check the dates below. Also, don’t forget to check out my Hobbit review if you missed it Saturday! Anyway let’s get started and take a look at some the latest trailers on the web.

In case you missed it:


A trailer for the movie, Pacific Rim, was released and you can check it up above. After mysterious giant sea monsters emerge from deep within the ocean, soldiers begin to fight back using giant robots. Guillermo del Toro will be at the helm of Pacific Rim, which is set to release in 3-D, and IMAX 3-D on July 12, 2013!


Another trailer for Gore Verbinksi’s, The Lone Ranger was released last week. The Lone Ranger stars Armie Hammer as the Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp as Tonto. The Lone Ranger is set to release July 3, 2013!


The marketing for G.I. Joe: Retaliation looks to be gearing up again! For those that don’t know, G.I. Joe: Retaliation was originally supposed to release on June 29th 2012, but the studio decided that they would delay the film until March 29, 2013 in order to convert the film in to 3D. You can check out the new trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation up above! The film stars Bruce Willis, Dwayne Johnson, and Channing Tatum and is set to release March 29, 2013!


Man of Steel got a theatrical trailer last week that shows off a lot of footage for the upcoming Superman film. You can check it out up above. Man of Steel is directed by Zack Snyder and will star Henry Cavil as Clark Kent, and Amy Adams as Lois Lane. Man of Steel is set to release June 14, 2013!


Finally we have a new trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness that was just released today. You can check it out up above. Star Trek Into Darkness sees J.J. Abrams returning to direct and will star Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Benedict Cumberbatch. Star Trek Into Darkness is set to release on May 17, 2013!

Movie Monday Update Week of November 19th


Happy Monday and early Thanksgiving TC readers! We got a lot of exciting releases coming this Wednesday! Let’s kick it off with a quick glance of movie news from last week.

In case you missed it:


A longer trailer for Les Miserables has been popping up online and looks like it’s shaping up to be an amazing movie. Les Miserable opens Christmas day 2012!


Oz The Great and Powerful also released a longer trailer. I have mixed feelings about this movie. The cast seems promising but I can’t help but be wary due to the fact that I get strong Alice in Wonderland (2010) vibes from the trailer. Oz The Great and Powerful opens in theaters on March 8, 2013!

Can’t wait for Star Trek Into Darkness? Well Paramount has announced that you can catch a 9 minute prologue in IMAX 3D in front of The Hobbit in IMAX theaters. Click here for more information! The Hobbit releases to theaters on December 14, 2012! Check your local theater for advance tickets now.
